The “four trimesters” of pregnancy amount to an incredible period of transformation for birthing parents; my job is to help you take the time to really experience this transformation–whether in the relative ease of the second trimester, the spontaneous rhythms of active labor, or the intimacy of the postpartum period. I can help you ease into change in ways that feel right to you.
Birth Doula Package (in partnership with Claudia Gerbracht):
As certified birth doulas, Claudia and I offer resources and physical and emotional support during your pregnancy and labor, whether you choose to give birth at home, at a hospital, or at a birthing center. We work with parents planning for vaginal or caesarean births, with or without pain medication, whether they are considered high or low risk. Our services include:
Unlimited phone, email, and text support from the moment we sign our contract.
Up to three prenatal sessions at your home or a comfortable public place of your choice. At these visits, we get to know you and your birth preferences, offer resources, help you develop a flexible birth plan, practice hands-on comfort techniques with you and your birth partner, and answer any questions that might come up.
Attendance at your labor as soon as you’d like us there. We use movement, breathing, massage, stretching, visualization, position changes, and other techniques to help you ground, relax, and gather strength, and to help labor progress. One of us will meet you at home or at the hospital or birthing center, and will travel with you from your home to your birthing facility.
We will be on call for your labor 24/7 from 37 weeks onward.
One postpartum session, where we check in to see how you and your baby are doing and answer any questions you might have about things like diapering, feeding, sleeping, and healing.
Postpartum Doula Package:
In providing postpartum support, I work to help you develop sustainable rhythms as a family. Working from the assumption that new parents need rest and nourishment in order to tend to a new baby (let alone two or more!), I create space for you to rest, bond with one another, eat well, and even get some time alone. From these foundations, I help you set up systems in and outside of your household to make life manageable as everyone grows. This will look different for every household, but they may include:
Holding space for you to process the birth and the changes of the postpartum period
Help with postpartum healing, including comforting touch for the birthing parent
Evidence based resources on infant feeding, as well as help with latch and positioning for breast/chestfeeding parents
Help with baby wearing
Professional referrals
Infant care and education on comforting touch for your baby, soothing, reading your baby’s cues, and sleep
Meal preparation
Sibling care and facilitation of bonding for the whole family
Accompanying birthing parent and infant to appointments
Setting up systems to facilitate you taking care of yourselves and each other, from setting up feeding and healing stations in your home to helping you activate your rings of support
Postpartum packages include:
One prenatal visit where we set up your postpartum plan and set you up for the baby's arrival
Four or more 4-hour postpartum visits
Unlimited phone, email, and text support
A basic postpartum plan of 16 hours is $875; additional hours after 16 are $50/hour.
I also am certified in Reiki and am happy to provide additional prenatal and postpartum Reiki services at your home or at my studio. Pre and postnatal reiki sessions are $80.
*I reserve slots for lower-cost and barter/partial barter clients as needed. I also accept FSA and HSA swipe cards. If you are interested in any of the above services or have questions, please contact me!*
